The challenge
Our customers expect to see full shelves in any METRO store at any point in time. Our goal is to always meet their expectation but this reality comes with a lot of complexities. Considering our diverse product assortments, different flows of goods to different METRO stores and customers, makes the standardization of our solution a challenge.
The complexity lies within ensuring product availability around the clock for every METRO channel around the world, while always aiming to find the golden mean between the two extreme sides of the supply chain cycle - shortage and overstocking of products.
The solution
To meet the high expectation of our customers, we tackle this challenge with a holistic approach to both demand forecasting and planning. We provide an End-to-End solution with high automation, ability to accurately respond to demand fluctuation and deliver a forecast up to 52 weeks at a granular level.
Supported by Blue Yonder we create a resilient supply chain by offering the right inventory throughout our distribution network. We make sure that products are on the shelves at the right time, in the right place and the right quantity.
