Integrity and compliance with applicable law and internal company guidelines are of great importance within METRO and a priority of METRO's Management Board. Therefore it is required for all employees and members of the METRO managements to act in accordance with current law, the METRO Business Principles, and company guidelines – everywhere and at all times.
This whistleblowing system has been established in order to receive reports about observed violations within METRO. It is accessible to METRO employees and external third parties, e.g. customers or business partners.
The system provides the opportunity to report incidents anonymously.
You can choose to identify yourself however as this facilitates the fast and efficient handling of investigations. All reports are treated with the strictest confidentiality, and whistleblowers are protected as a matter of course.
Your report serves to clarify misconduct, helps METRO to react to violations quickly and to consistently live integrity within the company.
METRO rules of procedure in handling reports
These rules of procedure ensure the objective and efficient handling of reports, show how reports are followed up and how much time it usually takes to process them.
Next to the global whistleblowing system there is also a local reporting channel in place which is the local compliance officer. The local Compliance Officer can be contacted under: complianceofficers@metro.digital.de
