With each of our products we seek to modernize the traditional scanning and payment process, making checking out from any corner of the store possible.
The challenge
With technology rapidly transforming the way we do business and live our lives, the need for speed and convenience has been growing ever more. And so the traditional cash register has also evolved to deliver. For example, the self-checkout machine is not a stranger to our shopping anymore. But is it the final stop in the customers’ in-store journey?
As 2020 brought new challenges, one of them being the need for social distancing, we asked ourselves what kind of solution do we need to have to adapt to the current and potential future challenges of our environment and bring value to our customers?
The solution
The solution is in the software. We have developed and continue to improve a multi-platform Point of Sale software that runs on any device, allowing not only hardware flexibility, but also the possibility to checkout from any corner of the store. Fully integrated with self-scanning solutions to make the shopping experience simpler and increase the in-store productivity - we call it M.POS Air.
Along with our core software, we work on a number of projects to refine the in-store customer journey by tackling the challenges of today. One of those projects allows our customers in a series of METRO stores to use our scan&go mobile application to scan their products as they shop and pay automatically at the exit without queuing at the cash register.
