How you will make an impact?  

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to help sustainably driving METRO’s Digital Transformation. The responsibilities of the PMO Manager include managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO, owning of and providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, overseeing project management staff, and collaborating with other leaders in the company to develop projects and programs. In addition, the PMO Manager may take over the project management function for key Digital Transformation initiatives.

To be successful as a PMO Manager, you should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, be very well organized and able to work well under pressure. 

Your Responsibilities:  

Collaborating with leaders & executives in the company to define, prioritize and develop projects, set-up performance standards, make recommendations and interpret policies of organization;

  • Act as an originator for fundamental disruptions (e.g. new ideas, innovative solutions, and emerging tech) supporting the progress of our organization;
  • Reporting on the Projects Portfolio status (scope, time, budget, quality) to the Management Board and other senior executives;
  • Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various projects, programs or deliverables;
  • Impediments management in a time and with high-quality;
  • Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks and resource allocation; 
  • Providing financial reports and budget outlines to executives; 
  • Overseeing the development of the projects and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards; 
  • Drafting new and improving existing project management policies and processes; 
  • Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets and meeting deadlines;
  • Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget and justification; 
  • Developing the PMO organization in a harmonized fashion to always use best-in-class project management standards and frameworks;
  • Act as coach, coordinator and, in conflict situations, as moderator and create a motivating environment and ensure that individuals can develop optimally.

Required key competencies and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the technology industry;
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory position, developing people;
  • Familiar with Software Product Management paradigm & Agile;
  • Complex project/program management experience;
  • Very assertive communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Excellent organizational and technical skills; 
  • Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills;
  • Strong attention to details and technicalities;
  • Ability to set clear goals to achieve consistently high quality results;
  • A Project Management Certification is a must;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, or a related field;
  • Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
