How you will make an impact? 

M.POS X is the traditional checkout solution which we offer to our Metro Cash & Carry stores available in 24 countries. We make sure that new functionalities are delivered in time and with great quality but also make sure that laws are respected in each country.We offer a large number of functionalities (Sales, Returns, Web Ordering, Fiscalizations, country specifics etc.) running on more than 10.000 cash registers in more than 700 stores.

Your Responsibilities: 

• Being involved in all phases of software engineering, from inception to coding, testing, delivery and operation;
• Developing high quality code that follows best practices and clean code principles;
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security and performance;
• Collaborating with other engineers or team members on various layers of the infrastructure, in order to design and launch new features;
• Interacting with the client in order to understand and characterize their needs and advise them if necessary.

Required key competencies and qualifications:

• Proven experience with C#, .NET Framework, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL;
• Knowledge of microservices architecture- nice to have;
• Experience working on Rest API- nice to have;
• Strong organization, time management and task prioritization skills;
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders from different locations;
• Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
