M.POS Air is the new Metro’s checkout core solution which is user-friendly, secure, innovative, mobile, and always available. It has to compute the amount to pay, tailored for every type of customer, in a smooth and accurate manner, to provide a performant invoicing and payment solution and also user management functionalities, keeping continuously in mind to enable the best user experience.

M.POS X is the traditional checkout solution that we offer to our Metro Cash & Carry stores, available in 24 countries. We ensure that new functionalities are delivered on time and with excellent quality but also make sure that laws are respected in each country. We offer a large number of functionalities (Sales, Returns, Web Ordering, fiscalizations, country specifics, etc.) running on more than 10.000 cash registers in more than 700 stores.

Your Responsibilities:

• Being involved in all phases of software engineering, from inception to coding, testing, delivery, and operation;
• Developing high-quality code that follows best practices and clean code principles;
• Advocating for improvements to product quality, security, and performance;
• Collaborating with other engineers or team members on various layers of the infrastructure in order to design and launch new features;
• Interacting with the client to understand and characterize their needs and advise them if necessary.

Required key competencies and qualifications (M. POS Air):

• Proven experience with C#, .NET Core, Visual Studio, PostgreSQL, Rest API, Docker, Kubernetes, Entity Framework;
• Knowledge of microservices architecture;
• Unit testing fan;
• Proven knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL);
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines;
• Experience working on frontend software using JavaScript (React.JS, Redux) - nice to have;
• You should be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility, keen on adding customer value into a modern system meant to be used worldwide by METRO suppliers;
• Excellent fluency in English (written and verbal).
