How you will make an impact?  

As a Domain Owner in Warehouse & Stock area, you will play an essential role in driving the strategy for the new generation of METRO IT landscape.

You’ll head a team of 10-12 people, product managers, service manages and consultants being responsible for 5 IT solutions in the area of supply chain warehousing operations.

You’ll be working in a cross-functional setup, with internal engineering and design teams and with external service providers, to build the right product, to ensure the needed availability class.

Your Responsibilities:  

People:

• Act as a mentor and coach for direct reports (e.g. related to employees’ career and development) and other colleagues to support the product management mindset;

• Identify improvement opportunities and strengths which could enable the talent of direct reports;
• Moderate team’s dynamics (e.g. conflict, team development);

Strategy:

• Define the vision and the mission for the domain;
• Promote and ensure the understanding of the strategy within your team and within the company;
• Track the implementation of domain’s strategy, including company strategic decisions and initiatives;
• Engage in experimental initiatives meant to increase the organizational efficiency and effectiveness;
• Contribute with ideas and initiatives meant to grow the METRO business (e.g. new digital services and products), leverage external services with diverse partners for best in class solutions;
• Analyze, interpret and make data driven decisions; continuously runs competitors and market trends analysis;

Communication:

• Act as brand ambassador for METRO.digital to all employees and to the market as a whole;
• Participate to internal and external networking events;
• Promote unit’s products towards other entities;

Finance:

• Collaborating with controlling functions and executives in the company, strategically plan and optimize the allocated budget for IT solutions;

• Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation;

• Plan employees’ related costs and business solutions related costs.

Required key competencies and qualifications:

• Expertise in the area of supply chain/logistics;
• 5+ years of experience in the technology industry;
• Nice to have experience in a leading position, developing people;
• Very assertive communication skills (written and verbal);
• Excellent organizational and technical skills; 
• Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills;
• Strong attention to details and technicalities;
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, or a related field;
• Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
