Purpose of your new department

 

The Supply Chain Warehousing & Stock Management domain covers on one hand the solutions responsible for the warehousing related merchandising flows for our METRO Cash&Carry (MCC) countries, and on the other hand the solutions responsible for the stock evaluation processes for all operational transactions in our IT landscape.

 

Your new challenges:    

 

  • Domain Expert, part of Data Integrity project in Metro Group: Actively supports the Data Integrity group wide project, which has the goal to achieve data integrity, correctness, consistency, and transparency throughout the METRO IT landscape in terms of stock quantity, values, and prices in order to deliver reliable financial data to the controlling teams from our MCC countries. Ensures availability of all needed source systems transactional data in the new Google Cloud Platform, for all MCC countries. Ensures communication and alignment with all product managers, domain experts of the different source solutions and country counterparts. Helps to create transparency and monitors the implementation process in all aspects. Pro-actively manages impediments and escalates to project manager if required.
  • Process implementation: Helps to analyze the stakeholder needs and identify additional requirements to fulfill the project targets, in close alignment with the Financial Governance Competence Centre.
  • Continuous improvement: Helps to rollout the future Stock Reconcilliation solution into the MCC countries to ensure higher financial related data quality, consistency and transparency

 

You are a great fit:    

 

  • Business experience: You have solid operational experience in merchandising processes and their financial impact. You know the main principles and processes of ERP systems, the interdependencies with other functions, and understand the main levers and critical success factors.
  • Analytical skills and IT know-how: You have an affinity with IT solutions, and are familiar with software development concepts. Ideally, you have yourself some coding experience or worked e.g., with databases. You are analytically strong, able to grasp complex topics. You can translate often confusing and complex as is business problems into simple and structured to be process descriptions.
  • Communication skills: You actively engage with multiple stakeholders in the product teams. You have great listening skills. You have the know-how and the seniority to be accepted by users as a competent counterpart. At the same time, you are able get acceptance for your proposals.You are resilient, you overcome initial resistance to change.
